Raising Your Vibration; Understanding and Practicing Gratitude

Did you know you can raise your vibration by practicing gratitude?  Do you ever wonder why it’s so encouraged to practice being thankful?  In Episode 24: Raise Your Vibration; Understanding and Practicing Gratitude Shyra and Karista discuss why an attitude of gratitude is so important for the health and well being of our body, mind, and spirit.

Expressions of gratitude can contribute to how we experience life, even at a cellular level within our body.  As we practice shifting our mindset to a place of gratitude, we are assisting our brain in creating new and strengthening existing neural connections into preferred patterns of thinking. We are reprogramming our thought processes from negative patterns of thinking, to naturally, over time, give more attention to gratitude and positive mindsets.  As we focus more on gratitude, we are causing a shift in the vibratory patterns within the cells of our body.

As discussed in Episode 21: Is It Spiritual or Is It Science? // A Correlation Between Science and Spirituality, all things in the universe are constantly vibrating.  Our mindset impacts how our body and cells are vibrating.  Gratitude is one of the higher vibrational states that we experience in this physical experience.  When we focus on gratitude, we are increasing the amount of positive thoughts, words, and actions we speak to ourselves and others.  All thoughts, words, and actions or intent, have vibrations that are impacting everything around us and within us.  When we focus on gratitude the more we are connected with the creation of joy and the more we attract opportunities for experiencing love and joy.  Where our focus lies, is what we will create and attract more of.

There are 3 Stages of Gratitude:

  • Recognition: the awareness of an opportunity to experience gratitude

  • Acknowledgement: an expression of this recognition

  • Appreciation: the experience of being grateful

How do Shyra & Karista practice gratitude:

  • Recognizing and acknowledging the opportunities for experiences within each moment and day.  This can be as simple as being thankful for breathing, having food and shelter, or as obscure as being grateful for the lessons learned from a tough event or experience.

  • Practicing shifting perspectives.  Taking time to view and experience things from different perspectives can help us to create awareness of the blessings that may not have been visible from the original perspective.  Watch more on this inEpisode 18: Shifting Perspectives; Being Open to 3 Sides Of Every Coin

  • Practicing self care regularly. When we do things to give back to our body, mind, and spirit, we are expressing gratitude for Self.  What more on this in Episode 17: Is it Selfish or Is it Self Care; Discovering Self IS Important!

  • Start a gratitude journal.  Start your day with writing 3-5, or more things, you are grateful for.  Re-read these before going to bed.  This helps to bring our focus back to a state of gratitude.

  • Express appreciation for resources and having access to what sustains our physical body.  For example, being thankful for the food you eat.  This helps to transmute previous negative experiences that the molecules you are ingesting may have experienced prior to coming to you.  This is similar to the practice of praying and being thankful for God providing the food on the table.

  • Place sticky notes of gratitude on your water bottle.  Like in the Water Experiments performed by Dr. Emoto, doing this can change the vibration of the water we are hydrating with.

We honestly don’t know a wrong way to practice gratitude, other than avoiding it all together.  Sometimes the lessons we are needing to learn in this life experience are tough, but are always supporting our Soul’s growth.  Shyra and Karista encourage you to do this to support your well being and expansion of love in your life.
